Long product life, so so battery life

By

from Pacific Northwest

About Me Avid Cyclist

Pros

  • Long Life - 6 Years

Cons

  • Short battery life

Best Uses

Comments:

I have these for over 6 years now and have ridden through all sorts of conditions, including regularly in heavy rain. Mind you, I taped the sides to the handle bars for better sealing, but they finally just broke down with connector battery/light now acting up on me, either all on or off. But this is the first time in 6 years. I do not find that the battery life is great, but they are easy to replace and it does the job even at lower brightness, I figure it is better than nothing on handle bars or reflectors only.

The best handlebar end lights I've used

By

from Tampa, Florida

About Me Avid Cyclist

Pros

  • Uses AAA batteries
  • Accentuate Bike Clearance

Cons

  • Could Be Even Brighter

Best Uses

  • Being Visible
  • Rear safety light
  • Night commute

Comments:

I've had others that use 'button' batteries that short out when out rains (or when I sweat heavy). These suspend the sealed battery in the middle of the handlebar so water can't run into them even in Florida summer rainstorms! The best thing is they display the true width of your bike so motorists can better judge how to pass more safely. The biggest problem is they are very directional, so I had to adjust my handlebars slightly to make sure they faced directly at motorists (not towards the ground). Suggestion: use rechargeable batteries and charge at least once a week for maximum brightness!

    Comments:

Love these lights. Love using them in Foggy situations and when it is misty out. Really gets the attention of a driver from behind me from a distance. I want someone to know I'm on the road especially out on these country roads. So glad I have them.
